April Lemieux is a poet and essayist with a spirit as untamed as the brilliant sheet lightning that would blaze across the sky of her childhood home on the Montana Hi-Line. Feeling drawn to the solace and solitude of nature even then, she would spend hours walking the rolling hills nearby. Pressing her ears gently to the wind worn rocks, she listened closely as their stories wove around and through her, readying themselves to follow her out into the world. She has never stopped listening to the landscapes that surround her and she still calls Montana home. April is currently working on her second collection of poetry.
