Claire Hibbs is a writer and teacher. Her poems have appeared in the Southern Humanities Review, lyric, Poems Across the Big Sky, Verde Que Te Quiero Verde Poems after Fedrico Garcia Lorca, and other journals. She has a BA from Dartmouth College, an MFA from the University of Montana and a M.Ed. from Montana State University. She is the founder of the Ronan Open Mic Series and has been awarded the distinction of “Teacher of the Year” three times by the Ronan Pablo Indian Education Association for her work as a high school English teacher on the Flathead Indian Reservation. She lives in Charlo, Montana with her husband and children.
